Martin Environmental Solutions offer a full range of Environmental Health functions to Local Government and the Business community, including Environmental Protection, Planning Application Consultancy, Noise Control Services, Licensing Consultation / Advice, Food Safety and Health and Safety.

Local Government

On behalf of Local Authorities, we can carry out a range of Environmental Health functions. We offer short term contracts to cover sickness, maternity leave or other staff shortages (e.g. while awaiting recruitment), through to management of specific cases or projects.

Environmental Protection

We can offer advice on and contracts for all aspects of Environmental Protection work. From investigation and enforcement of statutory nuisance complaints, filthy premises and complex drainage issues through to supervision of Local Air Quality Management functions, LA-IPPC / LAPPC Inspections and detailed Acoustic Advice / Investigations, along with full Planning Application Consultancy with respect to environmental concerns.

Statutory Inspection Requirements

We can carry out full inspection programmes, including food premises inspections, health and safety audits, licensing enforcement visits and general public health enforcement activities.

Business

We offer specialist advice to private businesses to assist in their compliance with legislation and best practice guidelines.

Food Safety

Martin Environmental Solutions can provide a one stop shop for Food Safety which can include the following:

  • HACCP Food Safety Audits – We can provide a full HACCP audit. This involves a full Food Safety audit assessing all documentation and on-site Food Safety standards.
  • HACCP documentation development – The company's HACCP documentation will be developed after the initial visit. This will cover all aspects of Food Safety and is developed with Food Safety legislation and HACCP guidelines in mind.

    The package will include: product descriptions and intended use, product specifications, flow diagrams, hazard analysis, HACCP audit tables, Food Safety procedures, recall procedures and food safety monitoring records.

Health and Safety

To ensure your business remains compliant with current Health and Safety law, regulations and standards of good practice, Martin Environmental Solutions can offer a practical and cost effective, strategic and technical approach to proactive Health and Safety Risk Management through its professional consultancy services.

About Us

Martin Environmental Solutions was founded by Neil Martin BSc (Hons), Dip Acoustics MCIEH AMIOA. Neil is an experienced Environmental Health Officer with over 10 years local government experience in the field at an operational and managerial level, along with a further 5 years managerial experience within the food industry. Neil has held positions in a number of local authorities delivering the full spectrum of environmental health services from Pollution Control to Private Sector Housing, Food Safety and Health and Safety.

Neil has a demonstrable track record of achievement at each key stage of his career. A highly personable character, Neil will fit in readily at all levels of the organisational hierarchy. Qualifications held include BSc(Hons) in Environmental Health, IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control and the ilm Diploma in Management. Supplementary qualifications include CIEH Certificate of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control and IOSH Managing Safely. Membership is held of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and Institute of Acoustics.
